So Who Else (Besides Arenas) Really Isn't Hurting?

The dirty little secret in sports is that guys fake injuries all the time. They really do. Then, while they work in cahoots with a combination of trainers, coaches and other team personnel, they lie about how healthy they are without fear of their noses growing longer.

Gilbert Arenas was just crazy or man enough (it's hard to tell which one) to admit as much.

Faking an injury, and then lying about it to your coach, and then informing the world in a cavalier manner? This is a mess, all right, and it goes beyond Arenas, his Washington Wizards and even the whole NBA. This is a mess that affects the integrity of sports in general, and it needed a loud response from the league.

That sound you hear is David Stern yawning.
