I like bowl games.I hate an eight-team (and laugh at a 16-team) playoff proposal because I am against anything that diminishes the "regular" (better term: spectacular) season.
I get the sense of dissatisfaction you feel if an undefeated team doesn't get a shot at the national title.
I hate what's happened to bowls, particularly the Orange and Cotton, in recent years.
I have a solution. And it's so simple that I have no idea why it hasn't already been enacted.
Instead of continuing the tradition of staging the Fiesta, Orange, Rose and Sugar Bowls on or around New Year's Day, and then waiting one full week for two other teams to play in a BCS Championship Game, why not do the following:
