It wasn't our pick, but the voters have spoken -- Chicago Fire midfielder Marco Pappa's one-timer against the San Jose Earthquakes is the MLS goal of the year. The Guatemalan midfielder was a creative bright spot for a Chicago side that struggled in 2010, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2004. Pappa led the team with seven goals and added five assists.
His first goal of the season came in the third week against the visiting Earthquakes. The 52nd-minute strike tied the game at 1-1. San Jose would go on to win, but Pappa's goal wound up being worth a bit extra in the end.
